sick of summer
4:34 p.m. - 2003-07-16

Remember me saying I was sick of school? I must be the most finicky person in the world, because now I'm sick of summer.

I'm sick of the factory, it's dirty, hot, long hours, and I come home with scrapes and bumps. I'm sick of my uncomfortable bed at home, reading long hours gives me a sore neck. It makes me long for the sturdy new bed I have waiting for me at school. I'm sick of the lack of transportation, I'm sick of being sweaty and hot. I'm sick of my mom watching me. I love my mom, I do, but when I'm home she sorta - moms me- watches what I eat, and what I spend, nags me to do stuff. I'm sick of my basement, it's wet and damp. I'm a little sick of my house, and the feeling that nothing works properly, like the toliets or the bathtub.

Most of all, though, I'm sick of being sick. Today I was poked 8 times with a needle, and each time hurt more because the nurse had to take blood from the same spots over and over again. I keep failing my hormone tests, proof that my endocrines are disturbed - and all I can do is take more tests, let them take more blood, shoot me with more substances, and close my eyes.

Hearing: the fans blowing - why isn't the air on?!
